Workshop (closed session)

A vast variety of concepts for new spaces for motion pictures emerged in Germany in recent years. At last year’s congress, representatives of said concepst came together for the first time. They discussed their plans in regards to implementability and urban planning qualities, and agreed upon continuous cooperation. The German cinema community thus witnessed the founding of a new cinema movement.

After another meeting at the Kasseler Dokfest in the fall, the 4th Congress Future German Cinema will once again reunite this new cinema movement. A 10-point-paper, which will henceforth be used as a common basis for discussion, will be drawn up in the spirit of necessary expansion of the concept of cinema and its appreciation.
