Agora – Part I: Telling Europe
Agora
Produced in several countries or screened in different languages, whether a story of travelling or a remake: film is European in many regards. The question to be asked would be: What does film tell us about Europe and which Europe does it tell us about? How does it shape Europe? Does it fabricate a European legend at times? How can films be developed on a European level without getting lost in bureaucracy and a loss of identity? Does film need Europe? And more importantly: Does Europe need film?
In the open format of the Agora, there are no limits to the interdisciplinary dialogue between scientists, practitioners and the public. Parts I and II merge into one another.
