A live set situated between immersive ambient, experimental pop, and AI-based vocal composition: “Altering Altars” merges traditional Tatar choral motifs with a contemporary electronic sound performance. Composed pieces meet improvised passages, centering on a virtual Tatar choir — a custom-developed AI instrument trained on recordings of rural Tatar choral music.

allapopp is based in Berlin, working at the intersection of research, music, performance, and AI-driven systems. In projects such as 3-LA, Songs of Cyborgeoisie, and AŞ, allapopp explores forms of self-digitalization and the cultural implications of AI.

“Altering Altars” is presented as a pre-release of the upcoming EP and marks the project’s first live performance.
