Museum tours can sometimes, pardon, be boring. Now, imagine that: during the tour the guide is not just simply delivering an endless litany of facts and figures, but recounts how it was to work with Andy Warhol on Frankenstein and how Robert Mapplethorpe absolutely had to make a portrait photo of oneself. Suddenly the guide insists to even touch the art and when it suits him, integrates himself into the presented work with a performance. The zany guide is none other than Udo Kier in this case, who joins the weirdest road movie in film history as an "art-addict." On his journey through the great museums of Europe, he meets artists, filmmakers and curators, and explores the question of what it is that fascinates us about art.
