What film will be the one we take along to the uniquely beautiful Parkside Studios of Offenbach? Not only does Captain Fantastic nearly ideally connect with the 2019 LICHTER theme nature, but additionally it is one of our favourites of the past years. This utopian family story and the exceptional performance of Viggo Mortensen managed to enchant us to such an extent. The film is poignant, irritating, and liberatingly beautiful – and does without obscenities, kitsch, cliché, and coca cola!

This evening, the fantastic captain will be accompanied by homemade deer bratwurst and delicious vegetarian picnic plates. If the weather permits, the LICHTERs will barbeque in Offenbach – “to the wilderness and back again”, as the German subtitle fittingly describes. It´s going to be homey, wild, yummy, and festive!
