Cholitas wear hats and wide skirts, just as their ancestors did. One might think that they do not entirely fit into the modern picture of Bolivia. In her documentary, Jana Richter tries to get to the bottom of this assumption: She accompanies five Bolivian woman from poor backgrounds in their everyday lives. Despite their traditional dresses, these women turn out to be unconventional protagonists: they are wrestlers. An unusual profession for women not only in South America – the audience will inevitably look at their hats and dresses in a whole new way!
