Creativo Paradiso
Hermann Vaske
What exactly is the origin of human creativity and what conditions help us most to be creative? In his film series about the potential and origin of art and creativity, director Hermann Vaske gets to the bottom of these questions and sends Lilith Stangenberg and Blixa Bargeld as two dark messengers of the arts on a journey to Creativo Paradiso alongside the audience. In the perpetual search for the source of creative power, we meet artists from a variety of disciples and decades. Contemporary greats such as filmmaker Wim Wenders, performance artist Marina Abramović, and novelist G.R.R. Martin offer their wisdom. Late artists also have their say, like musician David Bowie or fashion photographer Oliviero Toscani, who share their secrets in archived material. The result is a beautiful, kaleidoscopic collage that combines brand new interviews, unreleased archive material, and artistically animated sequences, capturing the ultimate formula for creativity once and for all.
