In the first years of its existence, the ensemble around director Willy Praml lacks a permanent venue. So they wander around town scouting for appropriate spots for artistic occupation like underground garages, an old blacksmith's shop by the harbour, the banks of the river Main.

In 2000, a fateful encounter takes place: The theatre occupies, initially temporarily, the Naxoshalle in the East End of Frankfurt. A place which has shaped the theatre up to now – and vice versa. Because being aware that every square millimetre of space in Frankfurt is subject to speculation for highest possible profits, it is not hard to imagine what would have happened to the hall if the theatre had not decided to stay, no matter what. This hall now is their world.
