It is autumn and a girl spends her time at her grandparents’ house in the countryside. She has a close relationship to her grandfather who explains the secrets of nature to her and shows her how beautiful this time of the year is. He makes her a pretty foliage crown and one day gives her a present, which has belonged to him since his own childhood days – it is a treasure chest in which he used to store all the things that were important to him. Then the old man gets ill and the girl is left alone with her grandmother. But she still has her grandfather’s treasure chest to remember him.
