Holocaust survivors, who had to flee from Germany to the Kibbutz Ma'abarot in Israel between 1932 and 1945, talk about their experiences of displacement and new beginnings. With astonishing openness and intimacy the film reveals insights into the lives of its protagonists, who suddenly could not be Germans anymore, but who found a new home at the Kibbutz, where they are still living today. The filmmakers of the project group "DocView," which consists mainly of young students from the Goethe University, not only achieved to create an eyewitness report of high intensity, but they also managed to represent the changes and the everyday life at the socialist influenced Kibbutz Ma'abarot, which continues to exist to this day. _*The film group DocView will be present.*_
