As Hedi Schneider is suddenly plagued by panic attacks, her quiet life goes completely haywire. Together with her husband Uli she leaves no stone unturned to get to the ground of her inexplicable anxiety. But neither medicine nor psychotherapy help Hedi to bring back normality to their daily lives. More and more she alienates herself not only from Uli, but also from her son Finn - and ultimately from the energetic woman she once was.
