Charu lives in a shared apartment in a high-rise in Mumbai. Like her roommates she is in her mid-twenties and comes from a remote corner of the country. She wants to find a home in Mumbai and seeks her fortune in the big city. She is alone at home when a workman comes to paint the living room wall. Surprised that her roommates haven’t told her about it, she asks him to hurry. A few minutes later she finds him unconscious behind the sofa. Her attempt to help him entangles her more and more in his life. During the search for the identity of the stranger Charu gets to know the city from a different perspective.
