Holiday in times of crisis: The summer vacation is one of the sacred traditions of France. Even Hector, a Parisian slacker in his early 30s, does not want to be left behind. Together with the revered Truquette and two other friends, he gets on his way. En route from Paris to the Atlantic coast, some obstacles arise: Overzealous rivals, two snobbish yuppies, a dubious doctor and the spontaneous decision of the Government to abolish the summer vacation to save the economy. At the end of this mix of slapstick, satire, at once vengeance and a declaration of love to France, the holiday succeeds at the last minute after all. But above all, it manages to prove that a real independent comedy is possible (and necessary) in times of shrinking budgets. _“An irreverent and inventive feature debut. … feels both old and new, but certainly never conventional.“ Jordan Mintzer, The Hollywood Reporter_ _*Actor Thomas Schmitt will be present.*_
