Teenager Salvatore's horizons are not very wide. Every day he sells soft drinks and ice with his father in the brutal Neapolitan summer heat . An initially very unpleasant job makes a change: For the local Mafia boss he is to guard the somewhat younger Veronica for one day in a gigantic, abandoned school building. In the unwanted imprisonment, the two find a way to escape the confines of their lives and to invent an oasis in the middle of the city. With two brilliant young actors – a little of Carmelo Bene is visible in Alessio Gallo – Leonardio di Costanzo's début feature film shows the cautious self-liberation of two young people in the middle of Naples' brutal reality.
