The Future is Celluloid
Panel & short film 'Die Sünderinnen vom Höllfall'
If you attentively followed the most recent Berlinale’s programme, you will have noticed a certain trend in regards to the shooting of film. Whether pure or a mix of material - why are filmmakers currently using celluloid? Do their stories call for a certain sensuality or feel? Is it nostalgia? Does it help you focus, or is it more cost-efficient? Apparently, it helps filmmakers make a strong impression even beyond festivals. As ambitious filmmakers have reported, cinema audiences are also appreciative of the effort associated with projecting 35mm. We will reveal the physical facts behind the mystique of the material at the end of the event.
