It seems that anyone can make a film nowadays. But when children take on the work of a camera man, accompanied by an experienced filmmaker, we are presented with an entirely new view of the trade. The Grim award-winning director Niko Apel (Sonbol) from Frankfurt accompanies Karina, Byron und Samuel, aged between nine and twelve, to a nursing home, a summer camp for gifted people and during their research of a family story with family members from Germany and Ghana.
