Call for Entries: 10th LICHTER VR Storytelling Award
For the ninth time this year, awards for the best narrative VR experiences will be handed out as part of the 19th Lichter Filmfest. Not only linear 360° videos can be submitted, but also interactive, real-time rendered VR experiences that approach the medium in a narrative, documentary and, above all, experimental style - exploring innovative visual strategies. The festival will take place from the 28th of April to the 3rd of May, 2026.
Starting now, linear 360° films and interactive VR experiences can be submitted until the 19th of January 2026. The VR Storytelling Award, the prize for the best 360° film, is determined by our audience - an internal jury selects the five best films from all submissions, which are presented to our audience during the festival and evaluated by them. The prize for the best VR experience, the VR Interactive Award, is determined by an independent jury. The final selection will be displayed as an exhibition during the festival. The winners will be announced at the festival's award ceremony. In addition to a cash prize, our VR Awards include the coveted Bembel Trophy, which should not be missing from any ambitious film and media professional's shelf.

We create") Carol Liu (2024 with „GANGA“), Chloé Rochereuil (2024 with „JFK Momento“) and Stefano Conca Bonizzoni (2025 with “SWEET END OF THE WORLD!”).
