Call for Entries - 19th LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International

LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International is seeking new film productions from Hesse and the Rhine-Main region to be presented at its 19th edition, which will take place from 28 April to 3 May 2025. From now on, feature-length and short films can be submitted until January 19, 2026. 

We are also looking for new productions for the 16th LICHTER Art Award as well as the 10th VR Storytelling Award. (Deadline: 19th January 2026)

The best works will be awarded with cash prizes and the "White Bembel", which has already been awarded in the past to emerging talents such as Peter Meister and Behrooz Karamizade or to established figures such as Rosa von Praunheim, Sung-Hyung Cho and Pia Marais.

Three juries will choose the winners during the festival and the awards will be handed out at the closing ceremony on May 3.
