The documentary lets singers Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett, as well as producer Frank Farian, speak, along with friends and companions. It paints a portrait of their rapid rise at a time when the four Black performers were not treated fairly: sold-out tours and worldwide fame were constantly accompanied by criticism and exoticization.
