INSIDE: Bahnhofsviertel with Tomatolix on the big screen
2.4 million subscribers, 500 million views – content creator Felix Michels, also known as Tomatolix, is famous for his self-experiments on YouTube, which have inspired millions of viewers. At LICHTER, there is now a unique opportunity to see his documentary series “INSIDE: Bahnhofsviertel“ on the big screen for the first time. Tomatolix will personally talk about his experiences.

Usually, in his videos, Tomatolix spends a day accompanying people in sometimes unusual professions. For “INSIDE: Bahnhofsviertel“, however, he and his team immerse themselves for an entire week in the legendary world of Frankfurt’s district, exploring whether the Bahnhofsviertel truly deserves its reputation as a problem area or is unfairly stigmatized.
For the eight-part documentary series, Tomatolix ventures into unusual situations using a hidden camera and becomes a witness to crime, sex work, and open drug use. In a respectful way, he portrays the everyday realities of the district’s residents and openly addresses taboo topics.
To mark the closing of the 19th LICHTER Filmfest, Tomatolix will present his series to an audience for the first time on the festival’s final Sunday.
