Party & Bar
Six days of festival, not only the screen flickers and flirts, but also the dance floor glows.
Tuesday, 03rd April // LICHTER Opening Night mit Shona Turner
True to the motto "never change a winning team", the 11th edition of the festival starts off with true LICHTER institutions: Shona Turner. As usual, Eva Schoner and Michael Dreher promise an eclective mix of danceable pop- and electro beats. Frankfurt knows and loves them for it – at least as much as we at LICHTER do.
Wednesday, 04th April // DJ Ladybird aka C.J. Parker
Ladybird started her career as DJane in Frankfurt, where she played not just at Radio X and the StereoBar, two institutions of local nightlife, but also played to the crowd at „Mittwochs auf Naxos“. Meanwhile, mostly the Berlin nightlife benefits from the groovy Ladybird-sounds – the legendary KitKat Club is only one address. Ladybird AKA C.J. Parker delights her audience with electronic dance music, supplemented with all-time favourites from soul, funk and hip-hop. Her motto: "Floor Play. Pleasure Taste. Get The Party Started!“. We’re looking forward to a reunion in Frankfurt!
Thursday, 05th April // Martin Heimann
That the Frankfurt Band Newmen is considered a white-hot export is also Martin Heimann’s doing. The Saasfee* Oblique resident-DJ has been a part of the ensemble around Joerg Schmidt, Timm Kroner, Joel Ameloot and Simon Rauland since its founding in 2009 and has long been known for his legendary solo-gigs. Last year, his „Salto"-remix was responsible for electrical tunes from Frankfurt being increasingly known as hot goods in London with its musical affinity. Martin Heimann will bring a sample of his fine sound compositions for us on Festival-Thursday.
Friday, 06th April // rewecitycrimeboys and others
Take one of the most popular supermarket chains and combine it with the image that the Main metropolis owes to not just the infamous „Bahnhofsviertel": What you get is the hottest shit the city currently has to offer musically. The rewecitycrimeboys celebrated their album release in November 2016. Since then, the Crew has been firing up people with a skilled mix of cloudrap, hip-hop, trap – and yes, sometimes with a pinch of Eurotrash. Do we even have to pitch this further?
Entry 10 EUR (availabe at the box office or via pre sale)
