LICHTER - the festival of short distances!
The festival centre of the LICHTER can be found this year on Eschersheimer Landstraße 28. An old printing house right in the centre of the city. The identifying feature is the impressive mural on the front façade of the building, which was realized by the Israeli street artist PESH in 2021.
Here you will not only find the 3rd Congress Future German Film (April 17-19), the LICHTER Art Award and the VR Storytelling Award. Our festival bar will give a home to animated film talks, DJ sets will shake the walls and the prestige cinema (does anyone still remember Erster Stock?) will make cosy movie watching in the evening a special experience.
But most of all, the movie experience will be celebrated again in our partner cinemas: the Mal Seh'n Kino, the El Dorado, the Kino des DFF, the Pupille - Kino in der Uni, the Naxos Kino, the Kino Orfeos Erben, the Harmonie Filmtheater, Filmforum Höchst, CineStar Metropolis, and the Murnau Filmtheater.

Parking possibilities by car
Adlerflychtstraße runs from Eckenheimer Landstraße to Oeder Weg. Parking in the Nordend is a matter of luck. The nearest parking garage is on Querstraße (Oeder Weg in the direction of the city center) and is about a ten-minute walk away.
