The LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International is looking for volunteers to support the team during the festival period from April 25 to May 5, 2026.

The deployment period can be flexibly arranged.

Our festival thrives on personal engagement. That's why we are once again looking for volunteers who would like to support us before, during, and after the festival.

From now on, you can sign up and become part of the Lichter team. It doesn't matter if you already have experience in film and cinema. What counts most is your enthusiasm, ideas, and commitment.

You can get involved in the following areas:

Cinema support:
28.04. - 03.05. (Mostly in the evening)
You will assist the team with admission and welcome guests to the cinema. You will help prepare the cinema halls after each screening.

Bar: 
29.04. - 01.05 (Evenings)
You will assist with sales and the preparation and wrap-up of the bar during parties and industry events.

Support for the Congress Future German Cinema:
29.04. - 01.05 (During the day)
You help with admission to the venue, welcome guests, and show them where to go. You help with stage setup, hand out microphones and water to panelists, and make sure there are always new flyers on the counter.

Support for the Lichter Art Award exhibition:
27.04. - 03.05. (13:00 -17:00)
You welcome guests to the exhibition and provide them with information. You also ensure that all art installations are functioning properly and report any problems or questions that arise.

Support for VR screenings:
29.04. - 03.05. (Usually from 5 p.m.)
You will assist with admission to the screenings, ensure that the VR devices are technically ready for use, and help guests with their operation.

Information desk and guest services:
28.04. - 03.05.
You will help welcome guests, sell tickets, and answer general questions at the festival center.

Setup / Decoration:
25.04. - 28.04. (During the day)
You will help with setting up the festival center and other cinemas, painting, laying carpets, moving equipment, and decorating. Nothing very heavy needs to be carried, but you should be in good physical condition.

Dismantling:
04.05. - 05.05. (During the day)
You will help with dismantling the festival center and other cinemas, tidying up, packing away the technical equipment, and dismantling the decorations. Nothing very heavy needs to be carried, but you should be in good physical condition.

What we offer:

We offer you the opportunity to gain insight into the workings of a professional film festival and actively contribute your ideas to its organization and implementation. You will also get to know other film and festival enthusiasts. You will be part of a young, dynamic team and experience a film festival from a whole new perspective.

Food and drinks will of course be provided during the working periods. You will also receive accreditation for all festival events and film screenings, as well as the official festival T-shirt and bag.
