To apply for accreditation, please fill out the form below. You can find an overview of the different accreditation and pass types under 'Accreditation and passes // Access overview'. You can pick up your accreditation / pass during the festival in the festival center: Massif E

The accreditation counter at the festival centre is open at the following times between the 28 April and 3 May 2026:

Tuesday: 16:30 - 21:00
Wednesday: 11:30 - 21:00
Thursday: 09:30 - 21:00
Friday: 10:30 - 21:00
Saturday: 13:30 - 21:00
Sunday: 13:00 - 21:00

Press Accreditation

The LICHTER Film Festival Frankfurt International allocates accreditations free of charge to journalists and media representatives from print, radio, television and online platforms with a current editorial assignment. Please fill out the accreditation form.

You can pick up your accreditation passes starting from 28 April to 3 May at the festival centre. A press accreditation allows free entry to film screenings and the 6th Congress Future German Cinema. To visit the screenings, you need a separate ticket, which you can obtain by showing your accreditation at our festival center. For sold-out screenings, we cannot guarantee entry.

Professional Visitors Accreditation

As a filmmaker or professional visitor, you can purchase an accreditation for the 19th LICHTER Film Festival Frankfurt International. The accreditations cannot be transferred. Please fill out the accreditation form before the 10th of April 2026.

After receiving your information, they will be screened swiftly. The screening process can take 2-3 days, therefore we ask for punctual submission. You will receive a binding confirmation or rejection by e-mail.

The LICHTER Film Festival Frankfurt International reserves its right to not issue an accreditation under certain circumstances.

Who can get accredited? 

• Filmmakers
• Professional visitors from the film industry
• Representatives or members of professional or film associations or film institutes
• Representatives of film festivals
• Invited students of film schools and Theatre-, Film- and Media studies

Conditions of Accreditation

The accreditation fee for professional visitors amounts to 50,00 EUR. For invited students the accreditation is free of charge.

Please transfer the fee until the 17th of April 2026. You can pick up your accreditation during the festival at the festival center.

The professional accreditations grant free access to industry events, the public events of the 6th Congress Future German Film and film screenings as well as screenings of the section Virtual Reality. Entry to parties incl. Crew Call, the opening film and the award ceremony/closing film are excluded. At sold-out events/screenings, we cannot guarantee you entry. Therefore, we recommend that you pick up tickets an hour before showtime at the latest.

Accredited professional visitors can pick up tickets for multiple films at once at the festival center counters. (Please be aware that accreditation only grants one free ticket per film.)
