A lonely composer commits suicide in front of his computer’s webcam. A neighbour who heard the gunshot breaks into the flat to see what’s going on. When he recovers from the initial shock of the gruesome discovery he calls the police, then waits for them to arrive. Soon he is joined by more and more neighbours. To pass the time they have some food and drinks, begin to play chess and talk about the dead man. But then the group notice the camera is still running, and suddenly their behaviour changes. _Death of a man in Balkans_ is a mixture of black comedy and sharp social satire, told from a fixed camera angle.
