A cultural phenomenon, not just for the history books. Born in Wiesbaden, the director Romuald Karmakar follows the DJs into the clubs and lends images to what has been well known in the LICHTER region for a long time: beside Berlin, the Rhine-Main area is one of the epicenters of Techno and House. Clubs such as Sven Väth’s *"OMEN"* and the *"DORIAN GRAY"*, in addition to the *"TRESOR"* in Berlin, gave the dance experience its hypnotic, transformative power and raised the frenzy to a new level of consciousness. Born in Wiesbaden in 1965, *KARMAKAR* now lives in Berlin.
