Kahlschlag
Max Gleschinski
In the presence of the director Max Gleschinski.
“Do you know why I love the forest so much? Everything here is in balance. But with people, so you and me, everything is shit somehow, isn’t it?“
Since their childhood, the friends Eric and Martin have been in love with the same woman. Today, 20 years later, Martin lives with Frenni in a tranquil one-family home. After Frenni decided on Martin, Eric is on their doorstep many years later to have a heart-to-heart with Martin.
Kahlschlag handles the notorious topics love, jealousy and violence with new imaged and new intensity. The meeting of both men in the forest quickly leaves the civilized facade behind. Accompanied by gripping music and told through multiple timelines, Max Gleschinski manages a complex structure of human relationships and emotions one cannot separate from.
