The LICHTER Art Award, now in its 7th edition, was again able to attract artists and filmmakers from all around the globe from Buenos Aires to Kassel to compete for the *1,000 euro award* and take part in the the exhibition. The over *80 works* - from documentary, film essays to fictional stories - that were submitted shown the video artists and filmmakers are very flexible into moving between the two disciplines or art and film making. The variety and quality of the displayed video works show us where the international video art and film scene is heading to. We could observe the increasing of use of material from the internet and post-internet aesthetics. During the festival, a *curated exhibition* will present the works of the *five finalists* from 28th March to 02nd April 2017. The winner will be announced at the *great opening event* on *28th March, 6 p. m.* at the *studioNAXOS* _(Waldschmidtstr. 19, Frankfurt)._
