*INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION* Three journalists in Kabul. The images of war and terror, which Ewald delivered to the Austrians and their TV screens for years, have long been forgotten. He himself has been a psychological wreck ever since. Then, he unexpectedly receives the assignment to fly to Afghanistan. He is taken immediately back to his past as he sets his foot aground at Kabul Airport. Meanwhile, the US journalist Lana reports from Kabul about the impending war. Her colleagues do not take the beautiful woman seriously and two US soldiers demand something for an interview they could not have from a male reporter. Spectacular images of destruction are expected from correspondent Cal. Waiting until the first bomb goes off, turns into a fight with himself. The episode film *_THANK YOU FOR BOMBING_* accompanies three correspondents to their war workplace and portrays their everyday lives beyond cameras and satellite telephones – somewhere between bomb scares, washing socks and Bach flower therapy. The film celebrated its world premiere at the *TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL*. At the *ÖSTERREICHISCHER FILMPREIS*, *_THANK YOU FOR BOMBING_* was awarded prize for the best feature film, best director, best screenplay and the best edit. _"Precisely in its most dramatic moments, this film conveys impressively the feeling of being a direct witness. Even if you'd rather look away."_ (The Standard)
