Niko (Tom Schilling) is in his late Twenties, lives in Berlin and has no idea what he should do with his life – what works well until his father finds out. The inevitable follows: Niko’s account is frozen and he embarks on a journey through the night, during which he encounters all sorts of bizarre characters until he has no other choice but to reflect constructively about himself and his surroundings. "Oh Boy“ owes the participation in the competition for the best regional feature film partially its outstanding form and content - wonderful black and white images underlain with jazz music – but also the co-production of the Hessischer Rundfunk.
