Virtual Reality Storytelling Award
Since 2017, LICHTER has presented a worldwide competition for 360-degree films. A lot has happened since then: The underlying VR technology is constantly evolving. The films are becoming technically more precise, the handling of content more confident and creative.
Thanks to the early adaptation of the new medium into a classic festival format, LICHTER has become one of the most important VR film festivals worldwide. After numerous sold-out screenings and over 80 international submissions in 2021, the VR section is now an integral part of the festival.
